This paper studies the Mongolian novel criticism in the new period from 1978 to 2018 from three aspects: imagology,story-telling and meaning-learning.In the process of research and investigation,several methods such as statistical method,close reading method,hermeneutic method and literary and artistic method are adopted.The basic structure of this paper is introduction,text,summary and postscript.In the first chapter,the author analyzes the characters in Mongolian novels in the new period by the change of the concept of the characters,the methods of shaping the characters and the interpretation of the types of the characters.In the second chapter,the characteristics of the story,the structure of the story and the function of the story are studied.The third chapter,with the theme of love and survival crisis,studies the theme of Mongolian novels in the new period.The summary part summarizes the whole paper.The appendix contains a catalogue of research papers on novels published in various journals in Inner Mongolia from 1978 to 2018.
