The book of Tong Ya is an "imitation of Ya" type of exegetical work,which was completed in the late Ming Dynasty and is one of Fang Yizhi's masterpieces.The whole book consists of 52 volumes,the first three volumes of which are not included in the text.Collects and explains words from various eras,especially many words since Tang and Song Dynasties.Fang Yizhi listed the tautology in two separate volumes and provided them with special training and explanations,which are respectively included in Volumes 9 and 10 of Tong YaˇRelease.This article is based on the characteristics of Tong Ya 's mainly polysyllabic words,specifically and systematically studies the tautology in the book,combines the characteristics of Tong Ya and Fang Yizhi originally collected the original intention of tautology,and discussed the issues of tautology identification,word formation,training methods and semantic types.Finally,Fang Yizhi studied the contribution and deficiencies of tautology.This article consists of five parts:First,the introductory part.It mainly introduces the author,the time of writing,the edition and the nature of Tong Ya.It mainly focuses on the research status of tautology in Tong Ya and tautology,and briefly expounds the research significance and research methods used in this paper.Second,determine the identification of tautology and identification standards.And considers it more in line with the specific situation of tautology in Tong Ya,the exhaustive investigation and analysis of tautology in the book,quantify the number and distribution of tautology,clarify the structure of tautology,and then analyze the part of speech of tautology,including adjectives,onomatopoeia,adverbs,nouns,There arefive types of interjections,including adjectives and onomatopoeia.Finally,according to the views of Zhao Keqin and Wu Zongwen on the classification of tautology words,divide the word formation method of tautology words are divided into two types: reduplicated simple words and reduplicated compound words.With the help of reference books such as Shuo Wen Jie Zi,Er Ya,Yu Pian,and the Chinese Dictionary,the word meaning analysis of the words constituting tautology is conducted,and then the distribution and quantity of each type of tautology are examined.Third,judging the exegesis method and exegesis form of tautology.Clarify the exegesis method used in the book to interpret tautology,including explaining borrowings,exploring etymology,interpreting transliteration,and participating in certificate examples;the exegesis forms are mainly described in terms of word training,word training,language training and comprehensive.And carry on the concrete description and analysis to it.Fourth,clarify the semantic types of tautology.According to the documentary evidence provided by Fang Yizhi in the book,and by referring to reference books such as the Dictionary of Chinese Tautology Words and the Chinese Dictionary,the tautology is classified into semantic types and described in detail.Finally,the contribution and deficiencies of Fang Yizhi's tautology are summarized.Contributions are three: one is to use tautology as training words,to break through the monosyllabic interpretation of tautology in Er Ya,and to innovate the interpretation of tautology;the second is to correct errors,which is both its biggest characteristic and the starting point of Fang Yizhi's research on tautology;thirdly,the research materials are rich,including not only traditional exegetical works,calligraphy,dictionaries,rhymes,but also Hanbei stone drums,dialects and note novels,which are a collection of handed down and unearthed documents.The shortcomings mainly include three aspects: one is the imperfect terminology of exegesis,the other is the inconsistent citationformat,and the third is the ambiguous interpretation of word meaning.
