Chung—Ying Cheng,as one of the representatives of the third generation of new Confucianism, has long been devoted to the study of Chinese and Western philosophy. On the basis of integrating Chinese and Western philosophical theories,Chung—Ying created his own onto-hermeneutics.Aesthetics is an important area that Chung—Ying Cheng has paid attention to in recent years.Onto-aesthetics is the integration of Chung—Ying Cheng aesthetic ideas.Onto-Hermeneutics is a theory that interprets the occurrence of ontology and lays the foundation of ontology for onto-aesthetics.Chung—Ying Cheng interpretation of ontology takes the method of integration of Chinese and Western, combining the concept of "Ben ti" of traditional Chinese philosophy with the objective existence of Western "ontology" to lead to a generative being.Onto-aesthetics unfolds on the theoretical basis of onto-hermeneutics,and believes that aesthetics should have an ontological foundation. The "ontology" connotation in ontology aesthetics is based on the experience of beauty, and leads to the existence of a dynamically generated aesthetic ontology. The noumenon of beauty is a process from the basic life experience to the sensual form of beauty. This noumenon of aesthetic not only overcomes the absoluteness of traditional metaphysics, but also restores the original fixed essence of beauty to the life world of beauty.Based on the theory of onto-hermeneutics,this article focuses on explaining the ontology connotation of aesthetic, and at the same time reveals the process of recognition of aesthetic’s ontology and the background in the process of recognition. On this basis,it summarizes the way of thinking of onto-aesthetics,so as to deepen the understanding of the ontology of beauty. Finally,it evaluates the modern value of onto-aesthetics and grasps the overall onto-aesthetics.
