Nowadays,most of the academic researches about Liu Zhenyun focus on the analysis and exploration of the work theme or artistic features.Although some researchers try to study the idea sequence in Liu Zhenyun's works as a whole,many research articles cannot cover all his creations because Liu Zhenyun is a writer who keeps working hard,and there is no end of his new works.This makes the researchers lack a whole view of the writer's growth and changes of ideas.This thesis starts from the folk position on the above basis,systematically listing the writer's creative writing experience from the beginning of his entering the literary world till now(1979-2012),explores the reasons why the writer gave up enlightenment and turned to the folk position,and how the writer's thinking has been deepened and developed continuously under the influence of this viewpoint,and what artistic features that his writing style shows.The thesis aims to make a diachronic and dynamic investigation of the writer's writing,and to explore the influence of the folk position on the writer's thinking dimension and narrative strategy.There are three chapters in the main part of the thesis.The first chapter analyzes the concept of folk and folk positions,and clarifies the causes of Liu Zhenyun's folk positions.The thesis studies the change of the status of folk culture from the political Reform Movement of 1898 in the late Qing Dynasty to the 1970 s and 1980 s.Taking Chen Sihe's and other related thesises as a starting point,it analyzes the discussion of the folk position in the academic field,so as to clarify the concept of the folk position's appearance and connotation.Furthermore,taking reference to the relevant archive data and historical records,the thesis excavates the history of Henan's "abandoned children" and Liu Zhenyun's early life experience,combining the literary and artistic trends of the 1980 s and 1990 s with the theoretical spread of Foucault and Said and others,clarifies Liu Zhenyun 's folk position originates from sympathy for Henan 's decline,distrust of mainstream discourse,dissatisfaction with the situation of marginalized people in his own time and his doubts about the intellectual justice of intellectual enlightenment.The second chapter talks about Liu Zhenyun's folk position and the change of the vision of his novel writing,focusing on the deepening and development of the writer's thinking dimension.Starting from the three levels of ethics,speech,and history,comprehensively using research methods of text reading and interdisciplinary,drawing on the relevant theories of ethics,national awareness and regional identity,linguistics,etc.,the thesis explores Liu Zhenyun's understanding of traditional ethics,his concern about the mental state of people living at the bottom level and the affirmation and promotion of survival justice.The third chapter discusses about the artistic characteristics and narrative strategies that are presented in Liu Zhenyun's specific writings under the influence of folk positions.The thesis focuses on exploring the cold narrative perspective,exquisite irony art and the use of dialects and slang in Liu Zhenyun's text through detailed reading of the text.By comparing Liu Zhenyun's artistic styles at different stages of his creation,it is believed in this chapter that these narrative strategies are not only used to express Liu Zhenyun's art methods of folk writing,but also are the result of the writer's deepening understanding of folk cognition,with the two aspects complementing each other at the same time.Taking the folk position as the starting point,the thesis studies Liu Zhenyun's idea sequence in his works as a whole,and explores the reasons and significance of his creative style and ideological changes.Liu Zhenyun was also full of enlightenment passion,but was finally led to a folk position by his sympathy for the decline of his hometown Henan Province,distrust of mainstream discourse,dissatisfaction with the situation of marginalized people in his own time,and doubts about the justice of the enlightenment discourse of intellectuals.Once he tried to find spiritual solace in folk ethics,but the beautiful illusion of traditional ethics was broken.Realizing that it was just a chain of power;he tried to find the intimate person through word persuasion,and find a spiritual outlet for himself and the folk,but only to find that loneliness is the common state of the people;when disappointed with reality,Liu Zhenyun turned to history and explored the reasons for life's obscurity,appealing to the wave of "new historicism".The writer's thinking dimension is deepened from ethics,to speech,and then to history,and a unique writing style is formed in this process.From a calm and objective perspective,Liu Zhenyun tried his best to analyze the folk,but his similar fate on the verge of coexistence with the folk made him always feel a sense of "sympathetic sympathy" for the folk,which makes Liu Zhenyun's specific writing unable to make a deeper analysis though it can analyze the obscurity of the folk,which limits the depth of the writer's writing to a certain extent.
