In recent years, there are more and more self-injury incidents among college students, which have aroused the attention of teachers and parents to self-injury behavior.Previous research suggests that students produce self-injury behavior, mostly with students' stress and negative emotions,no correlation between bad family relation, etc. However,it is rarely explored from the psychological mechanism of students, why students choose to self-injury.Therefore,Firstly,in study 1,the study used the energy model of self-control and the sense of pressure to deeply explore the influence of self-injury.Secondly,emotional titer was introduced into study 2 to investigate whether different emotions have regulating effects on self-control and sense of pressure. This study mainly includes two parts. In study 1,first of all,the psychological measurement method was adopted in study 1a.The study measured 534 college students by adolescent self-injury behavior scale, college students' stress scale(CSS)and self-control scale(SCS).The measurement results showed that there was a significant correlation between self-control,the feeling of pressure and self-injury,and the feeling of pressure played a completely mediating role in the influence of self-control on self-injury.Secondly,in study 1b,it used the ego depletion paradigm and augmented reality technology.2(self-control: high,low)×2(pressure perception: yes,no)was adopted to explore the psychological mechanism of self-injury behavior. With the result of experiments have been carried out to explore 60 college students, found that stress on the main effect of self-injury.In study 2,This study introduced emotional valence variables.Firstly,in study 2a,2(emotional valence: positive vs.negative)×2(self-control: high vs.low)×2(stress: yes vs.no)was adopted to explore 120 college students of the effects of self-control,stress,and emotional valence on self-injury.The results show that emotional titer has a significant effect on self-injury,and different emotions have different effects on self-injury.At the same time, the study in 2b,used psychometry again. The study measured 546 college students by adolescent self-injury behavior scale, college students' stress scale,self-control scale and positive and negative emotion scale(PANES).The results show that emotional titer moderates the mediating effect between self-control and self-injury in the first half and the mediating effect of self-control on self-injury in the second half. The results of this study are as follows:1.Self-control and pressure have significant influence on self-injury.There were significant differences between the impulse control dimension of self-control and self-injury.Study stress, work stress and negative life event stress all have significant effects on self-injury.2.Self-control,pressure and emotional titer have significant effects on self-injury.There was a significant negative correlation between self-control and self-injury,and a significant positive correlation between stress and self-injury.Also,negative emotions and self-harm had a significant positive correlation.3.The stress plays a completely mediating role in the effect of self-control on self-injury.4.The positive emotions moderated the first half and the second half of the mediator model.Students in positive emotional cognition can use their own sufficient self-control cognitive resources. They can release pressure reasonably to avoid self-injury.5.The negative emotions moderated the first half and the second half of the mediator model. When students are unable to release great pressure, more negative emotions will be generated.Under the influence of negative emotions, students tend to overreact and self-injury.
