As one of the components of language,vocabulary is an important part of language.It is an important content of Chinese teaching to cultivate students' vocabulary use ability.Composition,as a specific form of written language expression,can best reflect students' mastery of written vocabulary and their ability to use it.However,the use of college students' composition vocabulary is not optimistic,the lack of vocabulary,vocabulary irregularities emerge in an endless series of phenomena,the level of composition greatly reduced.In this regard,this paper takes the composition vocabulary in the college Chinese test paper of 2018 students of Hebei university as the research object to investigate the usage of the written Chinese vocabulary of contemporary college students.The first chapter is the introduction.The previous studies were sorted out from the aspects of lexical diversity and lexical normalization in writing,and the research object was determined to be college students' composition vocabulary,with a corpus size of 1079 compositions.The second chapter summarizes the diversity of students' writing vocabulary,and analyzes the diversity of students' writing vocabulary from the perspective of students' individual,different majors and disciplines.The third chapter is the irregular situation of students' writing vocabulary.Could be divided into three categories: irregular words,fixed phrases,and the irregular abbreviations.Irregular words include the misuse of words,meaning of the word repetition,new words,irregular erhua words,abuse of dialect words,the abuse of the network words,Classical Chinese-vernacular mixture,Chinese-English mixture with eight classes,fixed phrases include two categories: irregular use of proper nouns and irregular idiom.Data statistics and analysis are carried out for different categories to quantify the current situation of college students' non-standard vocabulary.The fourth chapter analyzes the factors related to the use of students' vocabulary,and finds that students' gender,subject and basic knowledge of Chinese will have certain influenceon the use of students' vocabulary.Students with different gender,subject and basic knowledge of Chinese have differences in the diversity of vocabulary,the number of irregular vocabulary and the irregular types.The fifth chapter,based on the investigation of the diversity of students' writing vocabulary,the number of irregular vocabulary and the factors related to the use of vocabulary,puts forward the countermeasures to improve students' vocabulary using ability from three aspects.First,to promote the students to accumulate vocabulary,expand vocabulary.Secondly,based on teachers' teaching,different teaching programs are designed for students with different gender,subject and language foundation,and they are taught in accordance with their aptitude.Finally,with an eye to the construction of the campus environment,activities suitable for students of science,engineering and art are targeted to enable students to improve their vocabulary use ability subtly.The sixth chapter is conclusion.Through the analysis of students' writing vocabulary,it is found that students have a small vocabulary and a large number of irregular vocabulary,which are related to students' gender,majors,and language foundation,so as to provide reference for future college students' vocabulary teaching.
