The fundamental purpose of TCSL is to help learners develop the ability of using Chinese to conduct various communications in an appropriate way. Therefore, cultivating the stylistic competence of the language learners should be considered as an indispensable part to TCSL. Written stylistic teaching is a top priority of the advanced stage of TCSL, but its research and teaching is a relatively weak link. At the same time, vocabulary, as a distinct stylistic element, plays a major role in TCSL. Besides, the current findings of some issues that are closely related to vocabulary have highlighted the need to carry out such relevant studies.Starting with the study of advanced intensive reading textbook, this paper will attach major importance to the exploration and research on the written language vocabulary teaching of the advanced stage, and it will be conducted in the following sections:the first part will make a brief literature review of the written stylistic research and the its teaching status quo in TCSL; in the second part, after establishing advanced intensive reading vocabulary corpus, the paper will combine the research methods of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis, and conduct surveys and statistics in terms of vocabulary, parts of speech, word frequency, grade distribution and other aspects, thus making in-depth analysis of the categories and characteristics of written language vocabulary; in the third part, the paper will investigate the circumstance concerned with written vocabulary acquisition of the Chinese language learners in advanced stage and analyze relevant factors through the research methods of HSK Composition Corpus and questionnaires; after doing the above-mentioned research, the fourth part will, combined with the author's thinking, provide some relevant suggestions for the TCSL written vocabulary teaching and the compiling of advanced intensive reading textbook. The last part, as the conclusion, will make analysis of the limitations of this paper and point out the directions for further research. Through investigation and research, this paper holds the view that modern Chinese written language vocabulary has its own characteristics, and learners in the advanced stage still have been encountered with certain defectiveness in terms of the acquisition of written language vocabulary. Thus, when it comes to textbook compiling and vocabulary teaching writing, the cultivation of written stylistic competence of the learners should be further strengthened. This study argues that the learners' ability building of using vocabulary should be developed and trained from the perspective of style which is a way that not only can greatly promote the cultivation of stylistic consciousness of the learners and enhance their written stylistic competence but also facilitate the improvement of TCSL efficiency and quality.
