The Chinese nation has a long history and culture.As a multi-ethnic coexistence country,national culture is an indispensable part of Chinese culture.Totem is a national belief,but also the essence of national culture.Xibo people regard Xianbei beast as their totem.It represents the most lofty existence of Xibo people and has an ancient history and unique symbolic implication.It is the most representative national element of Xibo people and plays an important role in the development of Xibo culture.This paper analyses the Xibo totem from the aspects of historical data and psychology,focusing on the analysis of the origin and development of the totem from Jung's collective unconsciousness,and deeply analyses the Xibo totem culture.Taking the national style illustration as the subject's form of expression,it shows a deeper symbolic implication and fully displays the cultural connotation of the Xibo nationality.Firstly,the Xibo totem is summarized,and the characteristics and implications of the totem are studied and analyzed.Then,from the perspective of collective unconsciousness,the origin and development of totems are analyzed,and the deep-seated artistic and cultural connotations behind the Xibo totems are discussed.Finally,the combination of Xibo totem and national illustration style can not only enhance the sense of national belonging,but also mobilize people's visual senses,show the national characteristics and customs of the Xibo people in a brand-new image,clearly and accurately show the Xibo totem culture to the world,and at the same time,it is conducive to the continuous inheritance and development of the Xibo culture in the new era and new environment.
