Consumer Society And Youth Dispirited Cultural Tendency

Youth is the responsibility of the times,and the era of contemporary Chinese youth is an era of cultural pluralism.Young people are both recipients of culture and creators and inheritors of culture.In the collision of mainstream culture and subculture,youth culture has shown its own vitality,but it has also exposed its immature limitations.Dispirited culture is one of the components of contemporary Chinese youth subculture,and its research is a relatively independent perspective to observe the youth and youth culture in China.On the one hand,undoubtedly youth dispirited culture is a reflection of social psychology,and its popularity and development may pose a potential threat to social stability and progress.On the other hand,the one-sided interpretation of the dispirited culture by the mainstream culture is not conducive to understanding its true situation and solving problems.This research hopes to objectively understand the youth group,establish and spread a prosperous and healthy contemporary local youth culture,and provide intellectual support for the stable and sustainable development of society.This study attempts to study the characteristics of Chinese youth subculture represented by dispirited culture.It is passionate about showing the youth's refusal to struggle and success and negative decadence.On the surface,it is a negative culture which is full of negative energy.However,the actual core of collages and alternative interpretations of symbols of the culture is the rejection of the value of social judgment,which criticizes some unsatisfactory social phenomena.The purpose is to release the emotions of youth anxiety and dissatisfaction.Although this cultural phenomenon does not occupy the mainstream,it will not disappear completely.By comparing the culture in China with other Western negative subcultures,it isfound that the appearance of dispirited culture is not the main social contradiction.The number of people with the culture is relatively small and their behaviors are scattered.Although some young people with a dispirited culture tendency,they are not completely negative,they have not completely given up the idea of living.The dispirited culture is only one aspect of the many cultural choices of most young people.In terms of cultural content,China's dispirited culture is more consumer-oriented.It has a shorter life cycle,and it is more fluid,divisive and transient.Consumer society theory and the Frankfurt school's critical theory of industrialized mass culture is used to explain the surface reasons of the audience's psychology and media communication,and the deeper reason for the formation of dispirited culture,which is the rejection of external false value symbol and distinct grade evaluation criteria.The goal of this article is to face the imbalanced social reality of capital distribution.As a socialist country,China should actively create a social environment that is good for the development of youth groups.It also need to create and lead new socialist cultural values with Chinese characteristics that is different from the West,and use new technologies to spread and exert influence.As for young people,in the face of personal spiritual beliefs choices,except decadence or anger,should also continue to explore the middle way to avoid extremes,which is more suitable for achieving personal ideals and combining personal ideals with social ideals.
