Jueshe Series is a Buddhist magazine issued by Jueshe when it was founded in 1918 in Shanghai.Because of readers' requests,it was changed from the quarterly magazine to the monthly Haichaoyin after the fifth issue.Now it has become the only Buddhist journal that has not been interrupted since its publication in modern China.In the first half of the 20 th century,Jueshe Series was a media platform for the theory of Human word's Buddhism.It continued to be the mission of clarifying and propagating Buddhism when fulfilling the mission of reforming and reviving Buddhism.Also,it acted as a position among Buddhism and modern science and thought in modern times.Only exploring the literary value and critically analyzing the ideological resources in the magazine can we consider its role in the culture and ideology of a particular era to serve the social civilization with a transcendence of social form and historical era.Significance of today.This thesis takes the argumentation,essays and novels in Jueshe Series as the main research objects.It determined its position in the modern Buddhist revival and the spread of Buddhism and probed into its unique function in the development of literature with observing its overall form of existence in the history of the thought and the culture.In addition,this article took the unique role and profound significance of Jueshe Series in the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics as an example,striving to explore the value of this Buddhist magazine in contemporary social civilization.
