Subsistence includes a series of economic activities,such as agriculture,fishery,family raising and animal husbandry.It provides a material basis for social development and civilization progress,and is one of the important contents of archaeological research.As an important part of ancient civilization in China,the archaeological work in Western Liaoning has been carried out continuously in recent years,which contains a large number of relics related to industrial activities,providing important materials for a systematic and in-depth understanding of the material basis of the origin and development of civilization in Western Liaoning.Based on these archaeological data,this paper intends to analyze and discuss the development model of the Neolithic Bio-economy in this area.Firstly,the Neolithic archaeological culture in this area is systematically sorted out,and the archaeological cultural sequence and age are established.Then,based on the number and proportion of the bio-industrial remains(including stone,pottery,bone and other tools of production,animal and plant remains)unearthed from various archaeological sites in Western Liaoning,this paper makes an analysis.From the perspective of stable isotopes,the dietary structure of the Neolithic ancestors in this area was analyzed.In this paper,we will analyze and study the relics of each archaeological culture related to subsistence activities,and try to clarify the characteristics of subsistence activities in different periods and cultures.On this basis,it compares with the Neolithic archaeological and cultural living and working modes in the surrounding areas,and discusses the similarities and differences of their living and working modes as well as the reasons behind them.
