A Study Of Subsistence Economy In The Late Neolithic Of Lingnan

According to the research of remains of plants and animals in Late Neolithic Archaeological Site, this article considers that there are three kinds of subsistence strategies in Late Neolithic of Lingnan:Fishing and hunting collection, Rice farming and Tubers primitive agriculture. Different subsistence strategy has different origin. And different subsistence strategy has different levels of development in different regions. Finally, the paper analyzes the reason of different subsistence economy adaptation and change in the late Neolithic of Lingnan.The thesis consists the following five parts:Part I introduce the themes and meanings of the research and methodology used for this thesis.Then delimit the time frames and ranges of spaces for the late Neolithic of Lingnan, the definition of subsistence economy, and the history of the researches about this theme.Part II divided the late Neolithic of Lingnan into two areas and three parts. Guangxi is the major western region, east region included north Guangdong and Around the Pearl River Estuary. Introduce the archaeological site and its subsistence strategies through discovery.Part III analysis the development of three different kinds of subsistence strategy in the late Neolithic of Lingnan.Part IV discuss the Long-standing with Fishing and hunting collection in some area and the Rice farming spread into Lingnan. Research the reason of different subsistence economy adaptation and change in the late Neolithic of Lingnan.Part V overview to the content of the thesis and the methods used during the related researches of the thesis as well as the further possible improvements were given in this part.
