Chopin is a famous European composer and pianist in the 19 th century. He is one of the representatives of romanticism. His works not only have the style of rigorous classical art,but also have a strong spirit of subject and strong emotional color. Therefore,it has the reputation of "piano poet".Chopin Etude is the general term of 27 etudes written by Chopin all his life. These etudes are not only "technical",but also "artistic".Some of them also contain profound ideological connotation. They are epoch-making innovations of "Etude",a music genre with the purpose of "training performance skills",and are called a "revolution" in the history of piano music.Based on the background of European romantic art trend in 19 th century, combined with Chopin's art life, this paper expounds the relationship between Chopin etude and romantic music and poetry from the perspective of "piano poet",and analyzes and proves the internal and external factors that form the artistic characteristics of the work. From the perspective of music language, the author analyzes the artistic features of Chopin Etude. From the perspective of "second creation",i.e.performance level,it explains the characteristics of operation methods and performance techniques. Finally, the historical value and practical significance of the work are analyzed.
