Private engraved books refers to engraving that is funded or sponsored by a private person,and is not for profit.According to its main body,it can be divided into four types: home engraving,home seal engraving,entrusted government engraving,and entrusted book engraving.This article takes the private engraved books in the Song Dynasty as the research object,and on the basis of summarizing its grand situation,analyzes the reasons for prosperity and discusses the influence on current and future generations.The prosperity of private engraved books in the Song Dynasty is closely related to the objective social environment and subjective desire motivation.From the perspective of external motivations,they can be roughly divided into four aspects:First,under the influence of the "Xingwenjiao" national policy,the rulers of the Song Dynasty deliberately collected and organized ancient books and built schools,forming a strong reading atmosphere;second,the Song Dynasty The ruler implemented laws and regulations,formulated copyright protection policies,and objectively promoted the development of private engraving.Third,the economic development of the Song Dynasty promoted the advancement of science and technology,and improved engraving and papermaking,thereby increasing the efficiency of engraving.Fourth,the Song Dynasty has a large number of bookstores.For the sake of profit,the bookstore owners did not proofread the best-selling books and published them from beginning to end,which prompted the Song Dynasty scholars to publish their works.Private engravings in the Song Dynasty were also affected by subjective and intrinsic factors.When the books written by the ancestors survived,the offspring and grandchildren actively sought solutions.They changed traditional cognition,explored various publishing methods,and pursued lean.The publishing technology finally evolved the classic conditions that invited people to sort out books such as collation,handwriting and writing,and so on,which promoted the private publishing of books.The private engraved books in the Song Dynasty formed their unique characteristics under the combined action of multiple factors.Firstly,they mainly focused on the subset of books,and secondly,under the influence of their notion of paying attention to family taboos,and not paying attention to the book and brand.Issued in a single copy;in the end,private book engraving books are premised onself-needs,forming their unique cultural awareness and pursuit.In order to combine macro-control with micro-analysis,this article examines Li Dayou 's private engraved books behavior,and glimpses the private writers of the Song Dynasty in order to achieve the purpose of influencing current politics and public opinion to some extent by publishing books;In the carding process,it analyzes the efforts and contributions of the private writers of the Song Dynasty,represented by Yu Renzhong,before the books were published.The private engraved books of the Song Dynasty had a positive impact on the then and later generations.First,the prosperity of private engraved books accelerated the formation of various schools in the Song dynasty;second,the prosperity of the Song literary family was inseparable from the private engraving books trend of private engraved books;Thirdly,Zhishi officials participated in book publishing,and in the case of enriching the retirement life and driving the enthusiasm of private publishing,it also increased the political influence of private carving.Fourth,the scholars of the Song Dynasty established a book-centered circle of scholar-student exchanges by inviting celebrities to make prefaces and collations,proofreading,publishing,engraving,and gifting books to each other.Fifth,private scribes have kept ancient books and books,passed on academic culture,disseminated academic results,and promoted academic development.Their pursuit of engravings has led to the elaboration of private engravings and improved the technical level of engraving printing.The Song Dynasty's private engraved books were large in number,widely distributed and homogeneous,and they were exquisitely printed and well proofed,making them respected and praised by scholars of the future.
