Heidegger's Critique Of Modernity And Its Practical Significance

In the modern society where modernity is rooted,human beings enjoy the splendid material civilization which is "created" by awakening of subjective consciousness and development of science and technology.However,the human mental state has not been directly proportional to the improvement of modern civilization.A cruel reality that we cannot avoid is that,driven by the idea of "modernity",people gradually forget the meaning of the origin of life and blindly develop science and technology,carry out arms construction,pursue the proliferation of capital,and even lead to world wars and economic crises.Under this situation of spiritual crisis,the Western ideological circles represented by Heidegger thoroughly criticized the issue of modernity,and launched a violent attack on the fundamental principles on which modernity is based.This article is based on Heidegger's modernity criticism,and on the basis of fully absorbing and drawing on the existing domestic and foreign research results,Heidegger's modernity criticism's core thought is relatively completely introduced and explained.In addition,this article further emphasizes that Heidegger's thinking on the issue of modernity is carried out at the height of ontology.However,the approach based on existence is not only the uniqueness of Heidegger's criticism of modernity,but also the limitation of his criticism.Based on this,it leads to the analysis of financial phenomena in the subsequent chapters of this article.The main chapter structure of the article is as follows:First of all,this article gives a more complete introduction and explanation of Heidegger's core ideas of modernity criticism.For Heidegger,the essence of modernity is constituted by the metaphysics of subjectivity,which is specifically expressed as "the world becomes a picture" and "human becomes the subject".Heidegger believed that subjective metaphysics originated from Plato,then got the development of the Middle Ages,it entered its establishment stage until the Descartes,and reached the end of metaphysics and the essence of modern technology in Nietzsche.In his criticism of the vulgar technology view,Heidegger came to theview that technology is a way of uncovering.In addition,by distinguishing the different manifestations of technology in ancient and modern times,he further explained the instinct of modern technology and set out a unique analysis of the characteristics and essence of modern science.Secondly,this article starts from Heidegger's modernity and leads to the analysis of financial phenomena.In this part,the article concludes by rethinking Heidegger's modernity criticism that,although Heidegger's approach of starting from “Being”has its unique brilliance,it makes Heidegger miss the people living in the real social relations,so that his criticism is more of a pure thinking operation.This article goes a step further,using Heidegger's emphasis on economic development to lead out financial phenomena with realistic relations,and analyzes the inadequacies of modern financial studies in grasping financial phenomena from Heidegger's perspective.Finally,this section is a preliminary exploration of financial issues in the field of modernity.First of all,through historical development,we will show the way financial activities are related to our humanity.And draw conclusions here: Financial activity transforms and surpasses the original existence world of things.It is the main embodiment of human free will in the world,fully embodies the combination of plural people which is “being-in-the-world”,and is helpful to the awakening of "quasi consciousness" among people.However,while financial activities have brought us the development of civilization and uncovered the future(in the form of monetary value)before us,they have also placed our lives in the financialized world of survival,making us forget the real time and blindly pursue the financial value symbol.The end of the article is the revelation of this shadowing phenomenon.
