An Analysis On The Naren Gaowa's Musical Style And Singing Feature In Opera Cang Yuan

Cang Yuan is a milestone composition in the history of Chinese opera.This paper takes Naren Gaowa,the heroine of Cang Yuan,as the research object.Through the analysis of Naren Gaowa's dramatic and musical image,it deeply explores the charm of Naren Gaowa's three distinct artistic image in the play.Namely,as a strong female,she dares to love and hate.As a girl in Torgut,she is kind and innocent.As female hero,she is fearless and unafraid of sacrifice.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The introduction part mainly discusses the reason and significance of the selected topic,the overview of related research and the innovation of this paper.The body part separates in to four chapters.The first chapter is a brief introduction to the opera Can Yuan and its creation and artistic characteristics.The second chapter analyzes the music image of Naren Gaowa from the basic musical characteristics and singing treatment of her main arias.The third chapter puts forward some opinions and insights on the recreation of Yao Hong.In the last conclusion chapter,this paper gives an overall evaluation and summary of the opera Cang Yuan and its heroine Naren Gaowa.
