The Artistic Features And Style Of Wu Yu's Flower And Bird Paintings

All along,the tradition of sketching in Chinese painting has been accompanied by the development of the whole Chinese flower and bird painting,which is not only the basis of learning Chinese flower and bird painting,but also the foundation of his creation of flower and bird painting.Wu,as an outstanding representative figure of flower and bird paintings of the new zhejiang school,has been more and more sought after by the academic circles in recent years.With the flourishing of chinese painting,his unique style and artistic characteristics of flower and bird paintings have attracted a large number of scholars to study the causes of his flower and bird painting style and its creative techniques,which not only help to improve his own painting cultivation,but also provide more ideas for our painting education.This paper first analyzes The style of Wu's flower and bird paintings,respectively,studied the painting styles of his youth,middle age and old age,and analyzed the causes of the styles.Then,the artistic characteristics of Wu's flower and bird paintings were analyzed from the aspects of pen,composition,material selection and image.Finally,the influence on contemporary flower and bird paintings and the influence on art teaching were studied.
