The Crisis Of Traditional Knowledge And The Role Orientation Of Post-modern Intellectuals

Throughout the history of western philosophy,we can see that the development of the ontology of traditional knowledge theory from the origin of ancient Greece to the framework of the epistemology completed by Cartesian has promoted the prosperity of the whole philosophy,but it also limits and shackles its development,and even pushes it to the edge of the crisis.This leads us to reflect on the defects and drawbacks of the so-called "epistemological turn" in modern western philosophy.Since the transition from epistemology to Habermas' s "communication reason" or Lottie's "dialogic hermeneutics" has been proved impossible by relativity,then whether epistemology should be returned to ontology? If it is said that Heidegger's so-called "existence forgetting" makes the traditional knowledge theory fall into the framework of epistemology,then the return to the ontology of "existence" is a new historical opportunity for the traditional knowledge theory to continue to survive and develop.The questioning of existence by modern western philosophers can be traced back to Kant.Kant reveals the limitations of this epistemological framework,and puts forward the field of Transcendentalism,gives the boundaries of traditional knowledge or reason,and holds the position for "existence".Hegel,as the epitome of this knowledge rationalism,uses reason to transcend reason and reach the highest level of "absolute" mysticism.Marx really returns to human existence,creates practical materialism,and puts philosophy back on the dimension of ontology.However,from the pursuit of "existence" by Western philosophers,it can be seen that both Kant's field of Transcendentalism,Hagel's mysticism,or Marx's survival practice,have to be limited by a certain position,and not from a full and high dimension to the existence itself to carry on deep excavation.At this point,I think that the real opening nature of the "existence" mining means the holographic thinking in Chinese traditional culture traced to the "comprehensive thinking" by Whitehead.The rational mind of the traditional knowledge theory is only analytical and cannot be integrated,so it is impossible to achieve any universal truth,because all the thought and reason of the theory of knowledge have to be limited by a certain position.Supported by some progress from the theory of relativity and quantum theory,Whitehead rejects the substantiality of time and space,abandons the physical thinking of material,and advocates the event thinking of the relationship.This "realistic encounter" pattern is very similar to the holographic model conceived by quantum scientist D Boehm.On this basis,this paper makes a concentrated exploration of holographic thinking,which can provide a new way of thinking and way for solving the crisis of contemporary western philosophy.Only by taking the initiative to get rid of the bondage and limitation of the epistemological framework of the traditional knowledge theory and reaching the high dimension of this holographic thought as fully as possible,can we really close to the existence itself,and we human being is intelligent,and this kind of wisdom is the fundamental way out for mankind to get rid of the crisis of knowledge.Finally,for the so-called post-modern intellectuals,whether their legislative functions,interpretative functions or critical functions must be built on the basis of independence,the role of the so-called post-modern intellectuals is not due to whether they are public or not,instead,they just require the intellectuals to keep themselves all the time independence,transcendence and value neutrality.On the basis of the holography and the role of intellectual independence,it is not only imminent but also the only way to explore the new educational model from practical experience in order to solve the profound crisis that the university or the so-called institution of higher learning — the most important place where the knowledge and intellectuals to live in is facing with.
