In the current English writing teaching,most teachers adopted result-oriented approach,causing that students learned passively,lacked writing interest and necessary writing ability.The author developed series of lesson study on cooperative learning of English writing teaching in Junior High School,aiming at promoting students' acquisition of social skills,influencing students' attitude towards writing and improving their writing content.The author and three teachers cooperated to carefully design lesson plans,observe lessons,evaluate lessons and revise the lesson plans,making the teaching quality improved.The author has made a detailed record of the lesson study in Mei Jiang High School and collected a large amount of data.The participants were 29 students from Class Five,Grade Seven.The analysis of the data shows that the cooperative learning of English writing teaching had a positive influence on students' acquisition of social skills,writing attitude and writing content.Through the lesson study,students could offer help,seek help modestly,speak in order,patiently consider others' view and improve their own opinions.Students were more willing to write,more relaxed while writing,and thought writing was easier.Besides,the scope of students' writing has improved,the writing format was more standardized,the writing points were more comprehensive,the frequency of conjunctions has increased,and vocabulary and grammar errors have decreased.Moreover,lesson study has obviously improved teachers' ability of writing teaching,and also enhanced teachers' awareness and ability of cooperative research.
