The Imagery Features And Translation Strategies Of Animal Metaphor In Journey To The West

This paper mainly studies the animal metaphors and their representational features in journey to the West,and discusses the translation strategies in Uygur language,this paper makes a comparative study of the Animal Metaphors in the two versions of journey to the West and illustrates the translation strategies in the Uyghur version.This article consists of five parts.In the foreword part,it simply introduces the main content of journey to the West and the summary of its author.The first chapter: Discusses the Uyghur Language Metaphor research present situation,specially carries on the collation and the analysis regarding the Animal Metaphor research situation.This paper briefly describes the research status at home andabroad,research purposes andsignificance,research methods and otheraspects.Chapter two: discuss the nature,formation and language structure of animal metaphor in journey to the West(noun + Noun structure,adjective + Noun structure,verb + Noun /Noun + verb structure).Chapter three focuses on the representation of animal metaphors in journey to the West,especially the common animal metaphors.For example: "Horse","Dragon","monkey" and other animals metaphorical representation characteristics.In this chapter,the color meaning of Animal Metaphor(commendatory color and derogatory color)is briefly introduced.Chapter four focuses on the Uyghur translation methods of animal metaphors in journey to the West(extension,literal translation,free translation and addition of words)and the main points of translation.Chapter V: The author in the process of writing this paper found some difficulties,and summarized the study.APPENDIX: References,Animal Metaphors in the Chinese version of journey to the West,and a list of translations intheUighurversion.
