This paper takes Huai NanTzu as the object of study and studies its aesthetic thoughts from the perspective of space.Huai NanTzu is a philosophical summary of the spirit of The Times in the early Han Dynasty. The whole book is a cage world, rich in ancient and modern times, with Taoism as the main thought, and the essence of the thoughts of all Pre-qin scholars. The space consciousness in Huai NanTzu not only expands the depth and breadth of his philosophy, but also extends from philosophy to the field of aesthetics, which makes his space content unique in the aesthetic meaning of the times. To study it is beneficial to grasp the aesthetic trend of thought in the grand unification period of Han Dynasty. This paper is mainly divided into three parts to discuss. They are the introduction, the body and the conclusion. The introduction mainly presents the macroscopic situation of the research on the aesthetic thought of Huai NanTzu in the new period, and the feasibility and value of the aesthetic research from the perspective of space. The body of the first chapter discusses the core category "tao" in Huai NanTzu.Huai NanTzu inherited and developed the "Tao" of Laozi and Zhuangzi in the Pre-qin Dynasty, not only enriched the connotation of "Tao",but also integrated the theory of the gasification of Yin and Yang in the process of "Tao" generating all things, and holding that "Qi" is the concrete manifestation of "Tao".In addition,it examines the aesthetic phenomenon in the philosophical thinking of "unity of Tao and things",and its aesthetic thinking is more realistic and political. The second chapter is about the poetic construction of geographic space.Huai NanTzu is a self-centered,and it constructs the geographical space imaginatively, the whole earth with "jizhou" as the center, orderly extends to outward as a concentric circle, and formed a complete map of the earth composed of nine states, eight lakes, eight grand places, and eight great places far away.In fact, this geographical picture is the geographical space assumed by Huai NanTzu according to the ideal of beauty, and it is a subjective form reconstructed on the basis of experience and perception. Its poetic and aesthetic characteristics are far more than its scientific nature. For the edge of geographical space,Huai NanTzu has entered into the narration of pure perception. Its description is magical and colorful, grand and magnificent, and contains richmythological ideas, which embodies the people's inner spirit of the Han Dynasty and their bright expectation for life. The third chapter is about the aesthetic order of astronomical space.Huai NanTzu divides the space of heaven into "Nine fields" and "Four dimensions" based on Yin and Yang and five elements thought, and fills the space of heaven with "five" series corresponding to five-stars,so that the space of heaven is not only orderly, but also full of vitality and change, presenting the aesthetic sense of order.Huai NanTzu symbolizes the reality of politics with celestial phenomena, trying to establish a scale for human activities. It contains the strong intuition and utilitarian emotion for the celestial phenomena, and embodies the aesthetic thought of valuing life and preserving life, which is consistent with the inner spirit of "Governing by doing nothing" in the early Han Dynasty. In addition,Huai NanTzu connects the space of heaven with the space of human body and national geography, and extends the "Aesthetic order" of the space of heaven to the whole universe on the basis of the interrelation of heaven, earth and human. It achieving a grand and beautiful world schema and showing the great and magnificent aesthetic spirit of the times of the Han Dynasty.
