Uncertainty Management Model believes that individuals have a basic need to determine their self, interpersonal relationships, and social environment. When experience uncertainty, they will show various defense responses in an effort to reduce uncertainty.Research has found that Mortality Salience can trigger a sense of uncertainty and can also improve people's pro-social behavior. While Money Priming can increase people's sense of control and certainty, they can also form a self-sufficient effect, which can hinder people's empathy and reduce individual and social connections. So,when an individual who is reminded of mortality salience, endangered by "life" instincts, and affected by the money priming, how will he decide on his own pro-social behavior? This research will be carried out this issue.Study One: The questionnaire was used to investigate the insecurities of college students(anxiety of individuals when facing death)and pro-social behaviors, and to explore the relationship between the insecurity and pro-social behaviors. The results show that the presence of insecurity is significantly positively related to pro-social behavior and has a positive predictive effect on pro-social behavior.Specifically, there is a significant correlation between insecurity and total scores for pro-social behavior, emotional pro-social behavior, compliance pro-social behavior, altruistic pro-social behavior, anonymous pro-social behavior, and urgent pro-social behavior. It Indicated that individuals with a higher sense of insecurity have a higher tendency to pro-social behavior.Study two explores the effects of death reminders and money activation on prosocial behaviors experimentally. It was found that the main effect of mortality salience was significant, the main effect of money priming was significant, and the interaction of mortality salience and money priming on pro-social behavior was significant.Specifically, for the subjects who received the mortality salience, there was no significant difference between the pro-social behavioral tendency under the condition of money priming and neutral priming. However, for the subjects in thepain-prominent group, the pro-social tendencies of the subjects under the moneypriming conditions were significantly different from those in the neutral conditions, and the subjects' pro-social tendencies under the money-priming conditions were significantly lower than those in the neutral-priming groups. The third study is to further explore the influence of mortality salience and different amounts of money priming on pro-social behavior through initiation. The results show that the main effect of death reminder is significant, the main effect of money quantity priming is significant, and the interaction between mortality salience and money priming mode is significant.Specifically, for subjects affected by mortality salience information, there was no significant difference in the pro-social tendency of the high-money group and the low-money group;for individuals threatened by pain, the pro-social tendency of the high-money group was significantly higher than that of the low-money groups. Conclusion: mortality salience can increase people's pro-social behaviors;money priming can reduce people's willingness to make pro-social behaviors;mortality salience and money priming have interactions with pro-social behaviors;different amounts of money priming have different effects on pro-social behaviors. The mortality salience and the priming of different amounts of money have an interactive effect on pro-social behavior.
