From the perspective of "space production",combined with the western style entertainment space writing in Shanghai school literature, this paper explores what kind of cultural experience, psychological mechanism and values influence writers to participate in the meaning construction of representation space, and then analyzes writers' complex cultural position. The Western entertainment space in the semi colonial context,as the input of "space colonialism",plays the dual roles of "modern" and "colonial".The complex space experience makes the space writing of Shanghai school literature interweave the dual discourse of identity and criticism. The ambiguities of Shanghai intellectuals' cultural position behind the dual discourse of space show their contradictory mentality in the complex space experience. However,it is in the coding of dual spatial discourse that the multi-dimensional and three-dimensional features of semi colonial Shanghai are highlighted. The first chapter is the introduction.First of all,the purpose and significance of this paper are summarized.Secondly,it reviews the theoretical development of "space production" at home and abroad, and reveals the pioneering significance of the study of Shanghai school literature from the perspective of space. At last, the paper summarizes the literature and research situation of Shanghai school literature from the perspective of space, defines the concept of Western entertainment space, and explains the main content of the research. The second chapter discusses the Western entertainment space experience in the semi colonial context.First of all, this paper traces the semi colonial background of the rise of Western entertainment space and reveals the cultural colonization strategy contained in Western entertainment space.Secondly,it analyzes the dual roles of "modern" and "colonial" played by Western entertainment space, which brings Shanghai intellectuals a complex space experience of envy and humiliation. The third chapter discusses the double writing of Western entertainment space in Shanghai school literature. This paper analyzes the content of the text and combs the western style entertainment space writing in the 1930 s Shanghai school literature.Taking the typical cinema, bar, ballroom and park writing in Shanghai school literature as an example, this paper expounds the rich metaphor and imagination of the writer to the western style entertainment space under the complex space experience, reveals the dual discourse of both identification and criticism to the western style entertainment space in Shanghai school literature writing, and probes into the significance construction of the writer's participation in the representation space under the guidance of modernity demand and national consciousness. The fourth chapter discusses the intellectual subject contradiction in the dual space discourse. From the dual space narrative discourse, this paper explains the ambiguity of intellectuals' choice of Chinese and Western cultural positions in the semi colonial context. The evaluation of space by Shanghai Writers interweaves with the anxiety of world cultural imagination and colonization. The evaluation of space by left-wing writers interweaves with the yearning of class criticism and modern life. The dual discourse of spatial evaluation reveals the general contradictory mentality of intellectuals in the semi colonial context. However,it is the dual space discourse that contributes to the richness of literature representation space and reveals the rich and three-dimensional appearance of semi colonial Shanghai. This paper will analyze the western style entertainment space writing in the 1930 s Shanghai school literature with these four chapters,in order to investigate the intellectuals' space recognition and cultural position choice in the semi colonial context from the perspective of space.
