This study aims to test the measurement of hope among adolescents to evaluate the reliability, validity, and measurement invariance of the Chinese version of the Children's Hope Scale to explore the application of the CHS in the sample of Chinese adolescents, and find the correlations among hope, subject well-being,optimism,depression and loneliness so as to put forward specific suggestions for the promotion of adolescents' hope.In current study,832 adolescents, aged from 11 to 16(13.57±1.17),were selected to finish the Children's Hope Scale(CHS),Brief Multimensional Students' Life Satisfaction Scale(BMSLSS),Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale(PN),the Revised Life Orientation Test(LOT-R),the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale(CES-D) and the Loneliness Scale(LS).On this basis, descriptive statistics, measurement invariance,independent-samples t test, and correlation analysis were used to process the data, then the conclusions were obtained:(1)The Chinese version of the CHS appears to be a reliable and valid,as well as measurement equivalent across gender among Chinese adolescents;as a result,it could be utilized in the gender-based studies;(2)There is no significant difference in life satisfaction, positive affect, depression and loneliness, whereas high-hope adolescents scores lower on negative affect and higher on optimism than low-hope adolescents;(3)Hope appears to be positively correlated with life satisfaction, positive affect and optimism,no significantly correlated with negative affect and negatively correlated with depression and loneliness.
