With the development of material civilization, people's life quality and life experience are also changing.People are closely related to nature and society, and the existing problems are increasingly exposed. In the process of exploring the relationship between man and nature, human beings gradually realize that the power of human heart is the root of solving problems. Therefore, from ecological environmental protection to "spiritual environmental protection" is the manifestation of the transformation of human thinking from the external world to the internal world. There are a lot of questions about the "mind" of individuals in today's society.Issues such as the relationship between the individual and himself, with others, the interaction between the individual and society, and the interaction between the individual and the environment still need attention.People exist in all kinds of relationships, and they may face problems all the time, and "spiritual environmental protection" is urgent.Although "spiritual environmental protection" comes from environmental protection in terms of etymology,in the later evolution,"spiritual environmental protection" pays more attention to physical and mental cultivation than ecological environmental protection.Eco-environmental protection was originally proposed because people were aware of the crisis of the living environment and realized that human behavior can change the state of the environment. With the deepening of environmental protection, mankind has gradually realized that behavior is guided by the mind, and the root cause also needs to govern the mind.Based on this,Master Sheng Yan put forward the idea of "spiritual environmental protection" based on Buddhist thoughts. The “spiritual environmental protection” is the in-depth manifestation of environmental protection thinking from the outside to the inner layers, that is,to purify the ecological environment,we must first purify the mind.Since the "spiritual environmental protection" was put forward, its value in the fields of psychology, pedagogy, and medicine has also gradually emerged. Many scholars have talked about its meaning and significance in combination with various cultures.Because it was first proposed based on the basis of Buddhism,in the past research, there have been many studies that combined the "spiritual environmental protection" with the Zen and M?dhyamika thoughts in Buddhism. This article attempts to study Causes and Conditions, the Latent Defilements and Karma in the first five chapters of the Abhidharmakosabhasyam.Starting from the second chapter, first of all,a brief introduction to the age and author background of Abhidharmakosabhasyam will explain the structure and writing logic of Abhidharmakosabhasyam. The first five chapters of Abhidharmakosabhasyam talk about the causes and results, and then from the world to the industry and then to the minds and mental states. In the order from the outside to the inside,it expounds all the thoughts of the probable law arising from the cause and conditions, and changing according to the causes and results. The third chapter discusses the classification of cause, conditions and results in Abhidharmakosabhasyam. The interaction of cause, conditions and results also reflects that all things in the world are born from the combination of cause and conditions, and the birth and death in the interconnection are continuous. The difference and connection of cause and conditions, the relationship of cause, conditions and results, and the classification of results, all echo the concept of connection and unity in "spiritual environmental protection".In particular, the twelve causes and conditions clarify the circulation and the destruction of cause and results in the world of love.Chapter four mainly talks about the minds and mental states,Karma. The minds and mental states are all present, and karma is caused by the minds and mental states.Karma brings results, good karma corresponds to good results, evil karma corresponds to bad results, and minds and mental states play a leading role.In the "spiritual environmental protection",the practical methods of words and deeds, and all the viewpoints starting from the "minds",have many echoes with the content of Abhidharmakosabhasyam.Chapter five returning to social issues, takes the real world as a background to discuss the relationship between man and nature, man and self, man and others, and man and social groups.Once again,it echoes the relationship between human beings and the world in Abhidharmakosabhasyam.Human beings exist in relationships, and human beings interact with themselves, others, society, and the environment. The human minds guide words and deeds, and kindness promotes good deeds.Good deeds bring good results, and vice versa.Abhidharmakosabhasyam has many values worth exploring for the enrichment and practical guidance of contemporary "spiritual environmental protection" thought.
