Current Situation And Region-Study On Cotton Planting In Yunnan During The Period Of The Republic Of China(1913-1945)

The cotton planting in Yunnan Province during the period of the Republic of China is the product of the interaction between regional features and factors of political situations at that time,this dissertation attempts to find the reasons for the development and failure of Yunnan cotton planting in the period of the Republic of China through the study of Yunnan cotton planting.First of all,the development of Yunnan cotton planting in the period of the republic of China took the frontier development as the background,the period can be divided into three stages according to the characteristics of different times,the first three chapters of this dissertation are based on the three stages of the development of cotton planting in Yunnan during the period of the Republic of China.The first chapter is the "show some imperceptible phenomena" of the development of cotton planting in Yunnan in the period of the Republic of China,in the year between 1913 and 1928.First of all,this dissertation discusses the characteristics of the times of the development of cotton planting in Yunnan in this period,that is,prohibition of opium production and the recovery of economic rights.Secondly,through the promotion of the cotton planting of Yunnan provincial governor's office,the development context of the first stage of Yunnan cotton planting was combed.Thirdly,the purchase and trial planting of cottonseed are expounded through historical materials.Finally,through the analysis of cotton planting area and it's output,the dissertation interprets the overall situation of Yunnan cotton planting in this period.The second chapter is about the "be in the ascendant" of cotton planting in Yunnan during the period of the Republic of China,in the year between 1928 and 1938.Firstly,it explains the background of the development of cotton planting in the period in which-Long Yun was in charge of politics.Secondly,through the establishment of cotton organization,including cotton testing ground,cotton industry department and Promotion Institute,the historical process of building "new Yunnan" will be restored.The third chapter is the cottonplanting in Yunnan during the period of comprehensive anti Japanese War,it started in 1938 and ended in 1945.First of all,it expounds the "rediscovery" of kapok,and then studies the development trend of straw cotton through historical materials,then the planting and promotion of kapok were narrated,finally,this thesis analyzes the development of kapok through the data.The fourth chapter mainly discusses how the regional characteristics and timely factors affected the development of cotton planting in Yunnan during the period of the Republic of China.First of all,it analyzes characteristics of the time of the development of Yunnan cotton planting.Secondly,the relationship between straw cotton,kapok and Yunnan regional environment is analyzed.Finally,the dissertation discusses the location conditions of cotton planting in Yunnan during the period of the Republic of China.
