| Taking the construction“X bubi Y(W)”in mandarin as the research object,With the help of cognitive linguistics and pragmatics theory,the paper has discussed emphatically the semantic type of the construction“X bubi Y(W)”,and we try to explain the generation of semantic type.At the same time,According to the grammaticalization and subjectivization theory,we comb the semantic evolution of the construction“X bubi Y(W)”.The full text is divided into six Chapters.Chapter 1 is introduction.It is a review of existing studies,which explains the research ideas and content reference for this paper.Chapter 2 is demonstrated“X bubi Y(W)”is a construction.With the help of construction grammer theoty,according to compare with “X meiyou Y·W”,this chapter demonstrated“X bubi Y(W)”is a construction.Chapter 3 is analysis the semantic type of “X bubi Y”.The construction has two semantics: “X is inferior to Y” and “X is better than Y”.The meaning of “inferior”expresses a kind of anti-expectation information,which has three situations: anti-speaker,anti-hearer and anti-specific social context.The meaning of “Surpassing” originates from the topic type construction “X bubi Y”,which is formed by shifting “Y can't be compared with X” in order to save effort and simplify language.Chapter 4 is semantic analysis of“X bubi Y·W”.This construction has two kinds of semantics: “X is inferior to Y” and “X is almost as good as Y”.The meaning of “inferior” has something to do with the emotional color of W.The adverbs entering the construction have the function of strengthening the negative mood and clarifying the semantic.The meaning of “almost”is a subjective construction with the speaker's emotion and attitude,and is restricted by the politeness principle in verbal communication.Chapter 5 is the historical evolution of the construction “X bubi Y(W)”.It is found that the meaning of “inferior” is the core meaning of construction,and its development way is “ inferior to superior to similar ”.According to the grammaticalization and subjectivization theory,the semantics of “X bubi Y(W)” is more and more dependent on context,and its evolution is a process of continuous subjectivization.At the same time,it is found that the development of the construction form and semantics can get the mutual demonstration of history and logic.Chapter 6 is the conclusion what summarizes the main points of the view,the values of research,the deficiencies of research. |
