The bronze inscriptions in the period of Gong Wang of the Western Zhou Dynasty are the outstanding representatives of the bronze inscriptions in the Shang and Zhou dynasties,which have certain literary value.It is divided into five chapters,that using four perspectives to analyze the literary value of the inscriptions in the period of Gong Wang reign and the individual color of the inscriptions in this particular period.The inscription in the period of Gong Wang inherited the characteristics of the inscription in the period of Mu Wang,and interlinkage the inscription style in the period of Yi Wang and Xiao Wang,that was the outstanding representative of the prosperous period of the inscription in the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty.The inscription in the period of Gong Wang was produced under the background of the flourishing of the culture of Li Yue in the Western Zhou Dynasty and the relatively complete system of Li Yue,which was reflected in the inscription of bronze ware at that time.Bronze inscription,as a form of literary expression on a specific carrier in a specific era,projects the creation activities of noble literature in the period of Prince Gong in the Western Zhou Dynasty,which to some extent represents the height that the literature of the period of Prince Gong can reach.From the point of view of the inscription text,the inscription in the period of Gong Wang can be divided into the inscription of book order,the inscription of chronicle,the inscription of chasing filial piety and the inscription of covenant agent according to the contents of the catalogue.Book inscription is the perfect embodiment of the ritual nature of the inscription text,the inscription of chasing filial piety represents the height reached by the lyricism of the inscription at that time,and the inscription of the covenant agent in the period of Gong Wang is the typical representative of the "covenant of governing the land" in the bronze inscription of Shang and Zhou dynasties.From the narrative point of view,the narrative technique,narrative mode and the expression of narrative art of the inscription in the period of Gong Wang represent the achievements of the narrative art in the period of Gong Wang.From the stylistic point of view,according to the textual characteristics of the inscription of Gong Wang and the stylistic features that appear,it can be divided into directive style of writing,record style of writing,sacrificial style of writing and clerical style of writing.In addition,the inscription in the period of Gong Wang has elegant and simple aesthetic style,and the inscription also contains the function view of the inscription literature at that time,and embodies the cultural concept of the times in the period of Gong Wang.If this article discusses the innovation,it compares the characteristics of the inscription text in the period of Gong wang with the characteristics of "writing book ".The nature of the "second-hand text" of the inscription and the individual characteristics of the text of the inscription have strong similarities or even similarities with the main characteristics of the writing.Although the carriers of the two are different,they have many similarities in the text characteristics alone,and perhaps we can examine the inscription text with the method and perspective of studying the writing characteristics.
