Nikolai Kapustin,a famous Russian composer in the 20 th century,lived in Russia all the year round,but was deeply influenced by American jazz.In his works,there are not only the harmonic composition techniques of Western classical music,but also the different style elements of jazz,such as blues,Bossa nova,Boogie Woogie and so on.What is unique about Kapustin is that his improvisation is different from other jazz players.He can record his improvisation without any change,and integrate the harmony elements of jazz into the body frame of classical music.Therefore,his jazz works are not only exquisite classical music,but also full of jazz movement,and the performance is very difficult.This paper studies music analysis and performance interpretation of eight etudes.This paper is divided into three chapters.In the introduction part,the author first introduces the research purpose and methods of this set of music works,and then explains the research status of Kapustin books and its literature at home and abroad.The first chapter introduces the life of Kapustin and the influence of the great development and change of Russian society on his creation,as well as the development of jazz in the process of transformation from the Soviet Union to Russia.The second chapter analyzes this set of eight Concert Etudes from two aspects of harmony form and performance interpretation,and lists the Jazz elements used in this work.Hope that through the author's research,can bring help to the performer.
