Giacomo Puccini(1858-1924)is a representative figure of realistic opera.He devoted his life to opera creation,making a total of 12 operas.His opera style is distinct,focusing on the portrayal of female characters,paying attention to the stage consciousness of drama,absorbing foreign music materials and applying them to opera creation.Bohemians is one of the most successful works of his many operas.This paper is divided into three chapters,the first chapter,realism from literary influence to drama to music,the author of "bohemians" writing background and storyline brief introduction.The second chapter analyzes the music ontology around the relationship between music and drama,through the relationship between character and theme motivation,the dialogue style between recital and band,the dramatic contrast of tragicomedy factors,the motive of "authenticity" and the restoration of drama scene.The third chapter discusses the artistic value and acceptance of the opera,through the opera aesthetic changes,audience acceptance of the turn and the rise of modern opera to judge the historical significance of the opera "bohemians" and the influence of later generations.In the conclusion part,the author thinks that the opera works of any period should be observed and analyzed in combination with the background of the times and the cultural context.Therefore,for the analysis of "Bohemians ",the author is also from the historical point of view to analyze and study this realistic opera.
