Language is both objective and subjective. The word "Kanqilai" embodies this feature of language. This paper takes "Kanqilai" as the research object and analyzes it from syntax, semantics, function and other aspects. The paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the reason of the topic, the significance of the research, the current situation of relevant research at home and abroad, the theoretical methods used and the sources of corpus. In chapter 2,according to semantics and syntax,"Kanqilai" is divided into three categories: "Kanqilai 1" with loose structure and semantic reality,"Kanqilai 2" with semi-solidified structure and semantic semidarkness, and "Kanqilai 3" with structural solidification and semantic falsification. Then it describes the semantic and syntactic representation of the three categories. The third chapter examines the diachronic evolution of "Kanqilai" and contrasts its usage of the Ming and Qing dynasties and modern. The fourth chapter analyzes the evidentiality of "Kanqilai",which based on the theory of evidentiality. And then investigates the influence of co-occurrence components on its reliability. And then analyzes the subjective expressive function of "Kanqilai" and discusses the relationship between subjectivity and evidentiality.Chapter five explores the discourse marker function of "Kanqilai".Firstly,it analyzes the semantic relation of the antecedent and the consequent term from the textual perspective. Then,it analyzes the metapragmatic functions(focus highlighting function, topic continuation function)and interpersonal functions(ease face function and avoid responsibility function)from the cognitive point of view. The last chapter is the conclusion, which sorts out the main contents of the paper and points out the shortcomings in the research.
