The Study On The Image Of The Plates And Drums Dance In Han Dynasty

So far,about 143 images of plates and drums dance have been found in Henan,central and southern Shandong,northern Shaanxi and central Sichuan.Most of the images were concentrated in the Han Dynasty and few in the Wei,Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties.Archaeological data show that the Pangu image was unearthed in the middle and late Western Han Dynasty in Zhengzhou and Nanyang,Henan Province,and in the Southern Song Dynasty in 424,in Cangshan,Shandong Province.In this paper,we classify and study the current images of Plates and drums dance,and divide the images into four phases.In the first stage,from the first year of Emperor Hanwu Jianyuan(140 B.C.)to the first year of Ruziying(8 A.D.),the performance form of Plates and drums dance was single and only appeared in the form of water sleeves;in the second stage,from the first year of Wang Mang's founding(9 A.D.)to the second year of Zhanghe of the Emperor Hanzhang(88 A.D.),the performance of water sleeves continued to be popular and new forms of performance began to appear.In the third period,The First year of Yongyuan of the Emperor Hanshao(A.D.89)to the first year of Zhongping(A.D.189)of the Emperor Hanshao,the performance style was diversified and the performance difficulty increased.In the fourth period,from the second year of Zhongping(A.D.190)of Emperor Hanxian to the first year of Yankang of the Emperor Hanxian(A.D.220),the number of images unearthed suddenly decreased,and the performance of Plates and drums dance continued to be popular,and other kinds of performances decreased.The development of The plates and drums dance has slowed down.The early stage of The plates and drums dance was mainly developed in the Central Plains,and gradually spread to the surrounding areas,such as Inner Mongolia,Sichuan,Anhui and so on,which can reach the Liaoyang area of Liaoning as far as possible.The plates and drums dance image has been found in the ground buildings and tombs.In the ground buildings,it is mainly combined with the vehicle-horse travel map and the kitchen map to show the life and social status of the master of the tomb,and it has sacrificial function.In the tombs,the organic combination with the beast,the ghost god and the fairy man can not only play the role of praying for evil,but also have the function of entertaining the gods.The plates and drums dance was deeply influenced by Taoist thought,and its performances appeared in fairyland scenes,which were performed by the mother of the West and the Duke of the East.The dancer of Plates and drums dance as a fairy to guide the master of the tomb to ascend the immortal,expressed the desire of the master of the tomb to ascend the immortal.
