The Performance And Function Of Musicality In Sculpture

In the years of art learning and practice,the author often heard people comment on sculpture art like music,in life,in teaching,in art appreciation and criticism are all like this,"the rhythm of sculpture","the rhythm of sculpture","the sculpture is as beautiful as music",and so on.Music term like rhythm are also used to describe sculpture which illustrate the similarity between music and sculpture.It can be seen that there has always been an indispensable connection between these two completely different art subjects.Schopenhauer once said that "All art seeks to achieve the state of music".What does the state of music refer to? With the development of human civilization,the discussion of art becomes more specific and the expression of art becomes clearer.The interconnectedness of this art in essence makes it possible for the sculpture in people's mouth and books to have "musicality".This thesis first demonstrates the definition of "musicality" in sculpture,and then explain its connection with sculpture.The author divides it into two chapters,"rhythm" and "rhyme",corresponding to concrete expression and image expression respectively.The image is divided into two parts: the creator and the receiver.Finally,the expression of "musicality" is used as a language in creation.Musicality is ubiquitous in sculpture as a property,no matter what form is it,abstract or concrete,ancient or modern,locally or globally.Its concrete expression in sculpture is "rhythm" and "rhyme".The understanding of these two expression before and after create process,and the in-depth grasp of them,are conducive to the more perfect expression of sculpture works and the thinking and understanding of the unique value of sculpture art and the ontological language.
