The musical Into The White Night is an original Chinese musical adapted from a famous Japanese suspense novel.The music of the famous Japanese composer Akira Senju becomes the soul of the play.How to design the singing style has become a crucial step in the characterization of Chinese actors when they recreated with the specific Japanese music style.This paper discusses how to design a singing style in accordance with the character setting of the script,on the basis of grasping the composer's music style when the musical actors are performing works of different styles.This article is divided into four chapters.It contains the introduction to the plot of the musical Into The White Night,the composer Akira Senju,and the main character(Kirihara Ryouji,Karasawa Yukiho,Sasagaki).In this part,the writer briefly analyses the effect of singing style to characterization,combined with the aria of the main character "Afterglow","Nightmares and Demons","The Truth Of The Fragments",it provided the specific methods and suggestions in singing style to the musical actor when they come up with their characterization.As a comprehensive art,professional literacy for an actor is very high standard in the musical.As a musical actor,the writer expects musical actors will have a deeper understanding and expand in singing style through this article and apply to the characterization.On the one hand,the musical actor can make a further improvement on the professional ability.On the other hand,they can present a better work for the audience.
