The opera of the white—baired Lady really is the first real sense of national opera in the history of Chinese opera. Its emer-gence raised the first hight wave for the Chinese national opera,espescial made the pioneering contribution for the develo-pment of writing and singing of the Chinese folk opera. Based on the opera singing of Xi'er as the research object, the article reached the singing styles of the four generations actors, revealed their influences on the Chinese national vocal music, and explored the way of inheritance and innovation of the Chin-ese national opera.The opera of the White-Haired Lady premiered for the first time since1945, many actors had been shaped the Xi'er roles in different period,they were WangKun, Guolanying, PengLiyuan and YouHongfei,they all shaped the role of Xi'er by the method of the folk singing, the drama sing,the Singing WM and the annotation sing respectively,their singing style reflected four different period of Chinese national opera singing falsetto characteristics. The author in this article not only combs and analysises the singing style of the four performing artists comparatively and exhaustively, and also points out their advantages and disadvantages in falsetto, and their singing style of Chinese national vocal music influence. The four generations of Xi'er roles represent the different period of Chinese national vocal music development level respectively, their performances was on the basis of inheriting predecessors'excellent experience through the knowledge of Xi'er roles and unified their own singing characteristics, they walked out a way of inheritance and innovation their own, their singing was deeply engraved as a sign in the era, their singing style produced positive and far-reaching effects on Chinese national vocal music.The previous researchers studied the White-Haired Lady opera mostly from the analysis of creation background and its ballad, the author of the article reaches the opera from a longitu-dinal perspective, together with the longitudinal comparison, the transverse logic and reasoning method, the example analysis, the theoretical and practical research, and other kinds of research methods.the article wants to make a fair,objective and reasonable evaluation to the four performing artists of their singing style more comprehensive, systematically by the in-depth research. The article divides into four parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly expounds the research status and multiple-choice basis, research plan. The second part emphasises on the education, art plays and art performance experience of the four generations Xi'er roles, and how they were on the road to play the Xi'er roles. The third part is the core part of the article. Mainly analysises the four generations artists'performing singing style.The fourth part elaborates on the four generations artists influence of Chinese ethnic vocal performance. Epilogue, through the review and analysis of the four generations playing and singing style of Xi'er,the article explores the development ways of Chinese national vocal music, so as to guide our artistic practice.
