This article focuses on an important link in the construction of music teachers in basic education in China – the problem of continuing education for music teachers after employment.This study takes Yongkang Teachers' in-service Training School as an example to explore the school's history of running a school and build a training-research integrated teacher training model.This paper regards this school as a "microcosm" of post-service training of music teachers in China,and explores the development of the regular model of teachers' in-service training schools in China and its unique features.The full text contains five sections:The first part is an introduction,which summarizes the background of the topic selection,the significance of the topic selection,the core concepts,the research status,and the research methods;The first chapter is the way to train professional teachers – the historical context of Yongkang Teachers' in-service Training School.Starting from the background of the school's national policy in 1970,it divides the school's historical development into stages,and describes the characteristics and missions of each stage.The second chapter is the preparation for the new music teacher onboarding – the music teacher onboarding education in Yongkang Teachers' in-service Training School.It investigates and analyzes the current structure of the music teacher onboarding education in the school,and summarizes its basic characteristics and system composition.The third chapter is the “gas station” for professional development – the continuous education of music teachers in Yongkang Teachers' in-service Training School,which includes three parts,namely,diversified professional development training for music teachers,targeted primary music backbone teacher training,and supplementary music teaching and research activities,analyzing the relationship between the three,and involving a large number of questionnaires and teacher interviews.The fourth chapter is the characteristic analysis of the continuous education of music teachers in Yongkang Teachers' in-service Training School.It analyzes the current advantages of the school,the school's positioning and existing problems,and provides experience for the local teachers' inservice training school in China.
