On The Cultivation And Development Of The Sense Of Mode In The Fixed Pitch System

As an organization form of pitch relation,mode has its own unique way of development in different historical periods,regions or nations.It includes the traditional modes that music learners are familiar with,such as the major and minor modes,the Chinese traditional national modes and the church modes.It is also related to the new music style of the 20 th century after the late romanticism was gradually disintegrated.The sense of mode refers to the systematic learning and understanding of "mode" from the perspective of actual pitch by establishing their respective positions in the comparison of sound stability and instability within a certain range according to the relationship between the steps within the mode.There are many pitch trainings in Solfeggio,such as interval,chord connection,monophonic and polyphonic melody.To develop the sense of mode is one of the most important purpose in these pitch trainings.The Fixed pitch system is another base of this paper.It refers to the fixed-do system under the perception of relative pitch.Pitch perception plays an important role in solfeggio teaching and practice,it will not only affect learners' cognition and judgment of pitch,but also a choice of thinking mode in the process of pitch learning,this way of pitch perception in solfeggio training or music learning is worthy of further discussion.This paper first explains the pitch sense,the fixed pitch system and the related concepts involved in the paper,and combs the name singing method from the historical development period and the pitch positioning method,which paves the way for the detailed demonstration of the following article.Secondly through the temperament,the interval coordinative relation and the mode contrast,the paper expounds and summarizes the source of the sense of modulation in the fixed pitch system theoretically,and summarizes the three aspects.Then take the specific teaching works of Solfeggio and ear training as the research object,according to the different styles of modes,it is divided into three categories:Western traditional mode sense training,Chinese traditional national mode sense training and modern music mode sense training for detailed analysis.The author thinks that in the training of Solfeggio and ear training of different music styles,the pitch training of different modes in different backgrounds should be carried out on the basis of the traditional mode sense of major and minor modes,and extended in the new music of the 20 th century.Training in a fixed pitch system can effectively connect these different tonal senses and build a more complete tonal sense system.
