Solfeggio is a vital course of basic music in music colleges and universities, as well as the required course for music majors. Meanwhile it’s also the premise for improving in other musical skills,which divides into three parts:sight-singing, ear-training, as well as auditory analysis. The sight-singing plays an important role in the course of solfeggio. There are different sorts of using solmization in sight-singing teaching at home and abroad, while two of them are most widely used in China which are movable-do and fixed-do.The purpose of this study is to investigate how the movable-do and fixed-do system influence on College Solfeggio teaching. By searching the document literature, this paper sums up the characteristics of the movable-do and fixed-do system, and compares the similarities and differences between the two roll system.This paper mainly uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. It will use four measurement tools which are test, questionnaire, interviews, direct observation to carry out the experimental study on College Solfeggio solmization.Firstly, through literature review, this paper sorts out the related content, and then combs, induces and summarizes the relevant study. The following explanations describe the related concept definition, theoretical basis and research status at home and abroad. Namely:concepts of sight-singing, solmization, movable-do and fixed-do; characteristics of movable-do and fixed-do; summary of using movable-do and fixed-do in college music teaching.Secondly, through interviewing, directly observing the expression of intervention objects from the following aspects:textbook, teaching aid, teaching methods, learning time and the degree of difficulty in learning the content, this papers will obtain first-hand information during solfeggio course.Then through questionnaires, this paper explores the features of movable-do and fixed-do in the Solfeggio Teaching based on the case that what kind of degree the students master the solmization.Thirdly, using the acoustic experiment and digital processing, this paper can form the visual music chart, which can more justly, scientifically, objectively estimate the ability of the intervention objects. Meanwhile, it also can find out the existing problem of the intervention objects and find out the connections and differences between the different solmizations and different majors as well as different solmizations and different reading ability teaching objects.Finally, focusing on intervening the intervention object and choosing different teaching methods to the different teaching methods and teaching contents, this paper tends to explore better college solfeggio teaching strategy, and to put forward author’s own views for the development of High College Solfeggio teaching. After that, the research results can improve the students’ reading ability, and achieve the purpose of solfeggio teaching.
