Abstract/Summary:
As nonlinear factors in phonetic chain, rhythm affects all levels in language structure.Chinese language rhythm brings musicality and distinguishing features to Chinese phonetic chains.Previous researches of rhythm paid more attention on theories without attention on oral Chinese teaching. In addition,it is common to obscure the difference between oral and written Chinese teaching. On the basis of the previous researches, clarifying rhythm in oral Chinese and analyzing related errors which are actually existent will be aimed at.With the relevant explanation and analysis, suggestions to teachers about the requisite phonetic knowledge and teaching methods in the aspect of oral Chinese teaching will be provided. In terms of Chinese rhythm,it begins from smaller rhythmic units to sentence, and seeks the clarification of them, which includes the pause, stress, tones and so on,in the aspect of spoken Chinese. On the basis of the theories, real cases are analyzed. The records come from authentic Chinese learners in a real and unaffected oral communication. And the same content was spoken and recorded by a native Chinese speaker.Compare and analyze the two groups of flow by auditory perception and a speech analyzer Praat. Then describe the errors in the flow of the learners,in order to judge if these errors contain universality or particularity to show the necessity of teaching rhythm during oral Chinese class.According to analysis of current teaching situation, teaching material,International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education and HSKK,advice teachers to pay more attention to guiding students through Chinese rhythm with foot partition, stress comparison, strengthening oral rhythm teaching by sound spectrogram or rhythm spectrum.
