Chinese furniture industry has experienced the development of reform and opening up for40 years,and the development of Chinese furniture industry has been in the period of the transition from high-speed to medium-speed.Overcapacity has become increasingly prominent,and industry competition has become increasingly hot.In the bottleneck of industrial increasing,“the Belt and Road Initiative”has brought about a turning point in the development of Chinese furniture industry.As the largest exporter of furniture,China should seize the opportunity,and expand the furniture market in the countries and regions along“the Belt and Road”.In this context,this paper studies the strategy of foreign cooperation of Chinese furniture industry from the perspective of acculturation,aiming to promote the Chinese furniture industry to better integrate into the construction of “the Belt and Road”,and promote the foreign cooperation of Chinese furniture industry with acculturation.Cooperation also promotes cross-cultural propagation among China and the countries along “the Belt and Road”,and helps build“the Belt and Road”.This paper firstly analyzes the development connotation of “the Belt and Road Initiative”and the status quo of Chinese furniture industry's external cooperation.It is proposed that participating in the construction of “the Belt and Road”is an inevitable requirement for Chinese furniture industry to maintain sustainable development.Secondly,SWOT analysis is used to analyze the the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and risks of Chinese furniture industry's external cooperation under “the Belt and Road Initiative” by focusing on culture and fanning out from point to area,which is used as the factual and theoretical basis for strategy formulation.Furthermore,it systematically studies how the Chinese furniture industry “goes out”with acculturation and conducts business cooperation with countries along“the Belt and Road” to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.Based on the perspective of acculturation,this paper creatively puts forward the“four-step”strategy of Chinese furniture industry's foreign cooperation under“the Belt and Road Initiative”as follows::(1)“Knowing each other” is the foundation.Firstly,we should analyze the current status of cooperation between China and the host country.Secondly,we should value and understand the cultural differences between China and the host country.The external cooperation of Chinese furniture industry is mainly realized in two ways: foreign investment cooperation and foreign trade cooperation."Culture" is therefore divided into two meanings.The first is the national culture,and the paper uses Hofstede's cultural dimension theory to understand the differences of national cultures.The second is the furniture difference,and the paper understands the differences of furniture cultures from the three levels including material,art and spirit.(2)“Blending and commonality” is the core,including the blending of national culture andthe integration of furniture culture.On the one hand,according to Hofstede's six-dimensional cultural theory model,KSI index analysis is carried out,and different strategies are adopted according to different cultural closeness to promote the commonality of national culture;on the other hand,through strengthening product design and development,the integration of furniture culture can be promoted.Firstly we should explore the characteristic furniture culture of the host country,secondly we should seek the cultural match point between China and the host country,and finally we should use the design to show the integration of furniture culture.(3)“Cultural propagation” is the way.Cultural propagation has a driving force that can not be ignored.It can truly bring out the effect of cultural integration.On the one hand,it spreads the excellent Chinese furniture enterprise culture formed by the integration of national culture.On the other hand,it spreads the Chinese furniture culture with modern design innovation as the core,which is presented in the blending of furniture culture.(4)“Industrial cooperation” is the goal.The paper explains how the integration of national culture promotes foreign investment cooperation,and helps Chinese furniture enterprises to move toward the countries along “the Belt and Road”;The paper also explains how the integration of furniture culture promotes foreign trade cooperation and contributes to the export of Chinese furniture products.In the end,this paper takes the “four-step” strategy as the theoretical guidance,and analyzes how the Chinese furniture industry “goes to”Thailand under “the Belt and Road initiative” based on the perspective of acculturation,and demonstrates that the research results are objective and feasible.
