Translation, according to the Interpretive Theory(Seleskovitch,1970s)could be divided into three stages,comprehension,de-verbalization and reformulation. As the theory focuses on conveying the sense of the source language,it is widely used in the guidance of interpretation.Based on the Interpretive Theory, the author conducted simulated consecutive interpreting related to the opening ceremony of the seminar on China-Iran cooperation in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative and produced this report. In this report, the interpreter focuses on case studies which includes the appropriate skills adopted during interpretation, such as simplification of redundant words and phrases, addition of information and sentence restructuring.Meanwhile, the interpreter also analyzed the mistakes like missing of information and inaccuracy during the simulated interpretation.By writing this report, the interpreter expects to improve the interpreting skills as well as provide useful reference to other novice interpreters.
