A Comparative Study Of Albert Camus And Shi Tiesheng's Life Writing

Albert Camus(1913-1960)was a famous French novelist,essayist and playwright and a representative of the "Absurd Philosophy".In 1957,Albert Camus was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature for his "passionate and dispassionate exposition of the contemporary questions posed to the human conscience." As one of the greatest writers and philosophers in the 20 th century,he was good a t integrating the discussion of the theme of life into the creation of literary works.At the same time,he wrote about the universal survival dilemma of human beings and sought the meaning of life in the tide of The Times,so that he won countless love among the young generation after the Second World War in the west.Shi Tiesheng(1951--2010)was a famous contemporary Chinese writer and essayist,who also made great achievements in the field of drama and movie script.He thought himself as a non-professional writer.However,during the long writing night,he used his incomplete body to express the most full-fledged thoughts and built a monument of literature.He experienced the suffering,but using his abundant imagination and careful thinking,let readers touched eternity in the blink of an eye and illuminated people's increasingly dark heart.Paying attention to life and writing about it has been a constant topic in literature throughout history.For thousands of years,literary creators have tried to explore the mystery of life and express their cognition of life through their works.Shi Tiesheng and Albert Camus are no exception.Although they are in different time and space backgrounds,they both tactically put forward the same questions about life--how should existing people treat their fate? However,the differences in personal circumstances and social,historical and cultural contexts have a far-reaching influence on writers' thoughts and literary creation.The questioning of the meaning of existence and the cognition of the dilemma of existence became the intersection point of the two men's literary creation,and then the two men followed their respective paths to seek the resistance to the dilemma of existence and the pursuit of the meaning of life.In their later literary creation and philosophy ideas,both of them were presented in different forms and at different levels.This paper by the comparative study of two people life writing as the theme,from both their own life trajectory,the social background and search for clues in their literary works that the fate of the characters from the book in above analysis,two different recognition of life meaning and try to comb the two men in the survival predicament and the meaning of life and separation between the two themes.This provides material and clues for us to study the communication,dialogue and integration of Chinese and western cultures in the 20 th century and hopes to provide the thinking of finding the meaning of survival for the "faithless generation" in contemporary China.
