The Austrian composer Franz Schubert(1797-1828)is one of the most important composers in the history of Western music.His field of music creation is extensive,including artistic songs,symphonies,chamber music,piano works,opera works.Among them,art songs are the genre that best reflects its outstanding contributions.As a representative of the early romantics,Schubert played a huge role in promoting the prosperity of German and Austrian art songs in the 19 th century.The Liederkreis Winterreise(D.911),composed in 1827,is a very important and special work of Schubert,showing his high maturity in artistic songwriting and tragic spiritual appeal.This set of songs cuts through the depth of the soul and the depth of the music,not only surpassing Schubert's era,but it is also modern today.This article takes Winterreise as the research object,takes the creation context of Winterreise as the research premise,on the basis of music history,combined with the analysis of the music ontology of the work,mainly explores the tragic connotation of the work,and extends the significance of Schubert's unique tragic creation for Romantic music.This article is mainly divided into three parts: The first chapter introduces the creative context of Winterreise,starting from the historical background of early German Romantic music culture,and then it analyzes the late style of Schubert's late art songs,it also traces the tragic era and individual of Schubert's music creation.The second chapter is the core part of this article.Into the work of the tragic connotation of the specific research,and it starts from the three aspects of text lyrics,music language and piano accompaniment in Winterrreise.Among them,the analysis of musical language is a deep excavation of the tragic connotation in melody,tonality and harmony.In addition,the role of piano accompaniment in Winterreise is particularly important.Schubert raised the status of piano accompaniment and made it a means of image portrayal and emotional expression.The third chapter is based on the previous two chapters,rethinks the tragic connotation in Winterreise from the perspective of humanities and music history,and further analyzes the tragic style of the set from the perspective of the image of death.Schubert's musical language in Winterreise is not only a microcosm of the Romantic spirit,but also influenced the creation of romantic composers and pushed the development of Romantic music forward.
