Construction And Inheritance: A Study On Cultural Memory Of Li Houhu In Shanxi

Cultural memory is a collection of regional characteristics and cultural symbols formed during the historical development of culture.The existence of cultural memory plays an important role in condensing cultural emotions,building identity,and spreading regional culture.Shanxi Li Houhu is the leader of Chinese folk cloth tigers.With its long historical connotation and the tiger-cultivating customs of its families,it gradually evolved into the historical and cultural business card of Licheng County,and eventually won the national intangible cultural heritage.It has become one of the most representative symbols of regional cultural memory in Shanxi.Based on this,this article uses participatory observation method and in-depth interview method to study the cultural memory of Li Houhu in Shanxi.In this thesis,the Beiguihua village with prominent Li Houhu cultural heritage is used as a field point to conduct a field investigation on the historical construction and era inheritance of Li Houhu cultural memory.In this dissertation,the successors,producers and local cultural scholars of the three generations of Li Houhu from Beiguihua Village in Licheng County are used as interview objects.They combine cultural memory theory and communication-related knowledge to explore the transmission path and content composition of Li Houhu's cultural memory construction.This article analyzes the form and characteristics of Li Houhu's cultural memory inheritance,and summarizes the contemporary value and practical disadvantages of Li Houhu's cultural memory,with a view to benefiting the construction and inheritance of Li Houhu's cultural memory in theory and reality.The main framework of this article is the historical construction,media presentation and intergenerational expression of Li Houhu's cultural memory and its contemporary value.The study found that Li Houhu's cultural memory is composed of two aspects: "construction" and "inheritance".Li Houhu culture mainly constructsmemories through symbolized material carriers,scene-oriented memory spaces,and historical meanings.The inheritance of Li Houhu's cultural memory is mainly manifested in horizontal media presentation and vertical intergenerational expression.At the same time,the media presentation of Li Houhu's cultural memory relies on people,organization,technology,and space,and has become more diverse due to the advancement of the times.However,the emergence of new media does not mean the demise of the old media.Reflects the synchronization of old and new media.In addition,the inheritance of cultural memory has a distinctive "intergenerational difference" feature.There are many differences between different generations in terms of media use,value perception,role positioning,and inheritance concepts,but they all agree with the spirit of Li Houhu's culture.The core is dedicated to the inheritance of Li Houhu's cultural memory.It needs to be emphasized that the third-generation inheritor is still in its infancy and is not yet mature.Due to the devolution of cultural heritage power,the third generation of inheritors has a special phenomenon of "culture feedback",which is mainly manifested in two aspects: technical backfeeding and conceptual backfeeding.Li Houhu culture has its own soil of the times.It can spread excellent traditional culture,build regional identity and drive regional economic development.However,there are still some practical disadvantages in the inheritance of Li Houhu's cultural memories,such as the weak sustainability,the unidirectional static display and so on.Therefore,after a comparative study,this article argues that the historical construction and epochal inheritance of cultural memory need to pay attention to the diachronic development of cultural memory,use media characteristics to activate cultural memory,highlight regional cultural characteristics,and achieve cultural memory inheritance and innovation.It is a close cultural proposition to promote the historical inheritance and time innovation of Chinese folk culture and make it become the backbone of Chinese national cultural memory.And how to make it widely recognized by the world and then become an effective part of human cultural memory will also be an important issue that must be studied in depth.
