Research On Visual Communication Design Of Information Visualization And Visual Representation

In the era of big data,the rapid development of information technology makes the sharing of data and information more liberty,and brings a convenient life to the public.At the same time,the massive data also brings ‘information anxiety'.In this paper,by using the disciplinary knowledge of design,combining with psychological cognitive science,statistics and communication disciplines,and analyzing a large number of excellent cases,the effective combination of ‘information visualization'and ‘visual representation' and ‘design' is studied.The aim is to let the audience through visual symbols in the massive data to obtain the information efficiently,and improve the audience's interest in reading and the satisfaction of obtaining information.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:First,the concept of information visualization and visual representation is defined through literature reading.Based on Michel's ‘quadrilateral representation system theory' and Stuart Hall's ‘coding and decoding' theory,the communication mechanism among information visualization,visual representation and visual communication is discussed,which provides theoretical support for the later research.Second,visual symbols are used asinformation visualization and visual representations,the carrier of communication between designer and audience can effectively convey information content and emotional concept to audience.Visual symbols are divided into graphic symbols,color symbols and formal symbols.Visual cognitive representation is discussed in combination with psychological knowledge.Audience transforms visual symbols into psychological level to understand information based on experience,perception and thinking.In addition,the application principles,application forms and forms,and application types of information visualization and visual representations are studied based on typical cases.Finally,based on the theoretical support of the previous paper,combined with their own practical experience,the design thinking application and design method construction of information visualization and visual representations are systematically studied.On this basis,according to the research results of this paper,based on the online questionnaire survey report,the ‘health protection knowledge' that the public pay attention to is selected to carry out the information visualization and visual representations design,disseminate health protection information,and verify thefeasibility of the previous study.As a representation practice of expressing information meaning in the form of visual symbols,visual representation is a method and means to realize information visualization.information visualization and visual representations take visual symbols as the media,and the audience interprets visual symbols based on cognitive experience to obtain information,which is helpful to maximize the dissemination of information.
