The research of the subject riches the progress of graphic information transmission in visual communication design, and makes it easy to analyze graphic in details and apply graphic in modern society conveniently. The graphic will be given various meanings by readers in the reading progress, which makes graphic information play full roles and get the best results in visual communication.At first principles of visual communication design are discussed succinctly, and the meaning, the essential factors as well as the significance of visual communication are analyzed, in order to point out the necessity of graph information research.The second, visual information, visual symbols and graphics are researched step by step, and the main object of the thesis - graphic information are confirmed in the third chapter, and then its origin, the characteristics and constitution are analyzed. In chapter four, graphic information transmission progresses are analyzed in detail, which is divided into three stages: the sending progress of graphic information, the progress influenced by medium and environment and the accepted progress of graphic information. The three stages are discussed separately, and respective characteristics are pointed out, which highlights the innovation and key of the thesis.At last, through concrete research methods and examples, apply of graphic information transmission is discussed from two aspects: pseudoblepsia and contradictory space. At the same time, principles of graphic information transmission are applied into visual communication design, which not only can avoid visual misleading in daily life effectively, but also can create unexpected effects through special approaches. Therefore, the thesis can provide some personal views and conclusions with reference value.
