Author Expression Under Genre Pattern

As a leading figure guiding South Korean films to the world film stage gradually,Bong Joon ho is a rare director in Asian film circle who can highly integrate art and commerce.On the one hand,his creation of film was rooted in the social reality of South Korea and put the profound social reflection into the reality in the framework of genre narrative.On the other hand,his films focused on the meticulous expression of life dilemma at the bottom of society,thus presenting the practical problems that the South Korean society faced in the process of modernization,and deeply thinking the complexity of human nature.In this paper,it systematically researched the artistic style of Director Bong Joon ho,analyzed the theme expression and genre narrative features of his films,and explored his artistic characteristics and deep meanings.There are five parts in this paper.In introduction,it organized and summarized the existing research materials and clarified the value and significance of the art research of Director Bong Joon ho.In Chapter I,it sorted out Director Bong Joon ho's works in different periods,and tried to analyze the causes of his unique style in the works.In Chapter II,it analyzed the theme expression of Bong Joon ho's films,carrying out the detailed analysis from three aspects: the national writing in the historical context,the realistic insight in the social visual threshold and the human gazing at the bottom picture of society.In Chapter III,it focused on discussing the genre narrative features of Bong Joon-ho's films,mainly analyzing his genre creation style from three aspects: the suspense genre creation,the sci-fi genre creation and the genre narrative strategy of films.In Chapter IV,it explored the success of Director Bong Joon ho through the summary of his artistic style.Under the genre narrative framework,Bong Joon ho not only effectively realized the author's expression,but also successfully completed the transnational cultural practice with a unique national style,thus providing lots of inspirations to the current film creation.
