A Research On Zhou Enlai's Economic Construction Thought And Its Contemporary Value In The Early Days Of People's Republic Of China

As the founding Premier of the People's Republic of China,Zhou Enlai was one of the main leaders and organizers of the economic construction of New China.The economic construction thought of Zhou Enlai,which effected by domestic condition,has provided an important theoretical basis for the economic recovery and development of New China.The content of this paper are the formation,contents,characteristics and positive effects that Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought had in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.In addition,the contemporary value of Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought was discussed on the condition of current state of economic development in China.The initial stage of People's Republic of China that mentioned in this paper refers to the stage from the founding of New China in 1949 to the basic completion of socialist transformation in1956.This thesis is composed of five parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly introduces the research background and significance of this paper,the research on Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought at home and abroad in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.Three methodologies were adopted to explore Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought,which included literature research,the history with logic method and theory with practice method.Chapter two is the theoretical foundation and historical background of Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.First of all,Zhou Enlai extensively absorbed the economic thought of Marx's classical writers and the economic construction thought of the Chinese Communists,and also drew essence from Chinese traditional culture,which all provided a solid theoretical foundation for him to form his economic construction thought.Secondly,the emergence of Zhou Enlai's economic constructionthought was analyzed by reviewing the domestic and international background at that time.The third part mainly expounds the main contents and outstanding characteristics of Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.In this paper,on the basis of previous studies,the main contents are summarized as “agriculture as the foundation,industry leading agriculture”,“attaching importance to the interests of the people in development”,“economic work should seek truth from facts”,“economic construction must pay attention to comprehensive balance”,and “expand international economic and technological cooperation and relations”.Moreover,three characteristics were summarized: first,the unity of all forces;second,the combination of hard work and thrift;third,the combination of self-reliance and foreign aid.The fourth chapter shows the positive influence of Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought on the economic construction in the early days of the People's Republic of China.Zhou Enlai once proposed to build our country into a powerful socialist modern industrial country.The positive influence of his economic construction thought on the economic construction in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China is mainly concentrated in agriculture,industry and science and technology.Under the guidance of Zhou Enlai,the basic position of China's agricultural development in the national economy has been consolidated and strengthened;in industry,an independent and complete industrial system has been initially established,which has laid a solid foundation for the development of China's modern industry;in terms of science and technology,it has opened up the way for China's scientific and technological development,trained a large number of scientific and technological personnel,and studied foreign advanced science and technology.The fifth part presented the contemporary value of Zhou Enlai's economic construction thought in the early days of the People's Republic of China,it includes economic development should focus on the interests of the people,economic work should be based on China's specific national conditions,economic construction should achieve coordinated and balanced development,and economic developmentshould open up a new pattern of opening up in an all-round way.By summarize and analyze the contemporary value,it is expected to play a better guiding role in the economic construction of our country today.The last part draws a conclusion of this study,which includes the research findings,limitations and content that have not been mentioned above.
