Liszt,an outstanding musician in the 19 th century,had a wide range of piano transcription,including the transcriptions of strings,operas,symphony and art songs.This new genre was not only beneficial to the popularization of piano music,the expansion of piano technology and timbre,but also beneficial to the inheritance of piano works.This paper studies Liszt's transcription of Beethoven's song cycle to‘An die ferne Geliebte',and compares it with the original works of art songs by analyzing the structure,texture and interpretation of lyrics of the adaptation.Based on the practice of solo transcription music,so as to plan the teaching of this set of works comprehensively from various angles and avoid the defects of insight.The paper was divided into three parts.The first part was transcription piano work.The second part was the teaching enlightenment of transcription piano works ‘An die ferne Geliebte'.The third part was the expanding value of transcription piano works ‘An die ferne Geliebte',which was further elaborated in sections.This research on this topic aims,tried to explore the enlightenment of this work on understanding music,training skills and other aspects.And the teaching basis of tracing its origin could also extend to the common exploration of other piano works' performance teaching.
