A Brief Analysis On The Sheng Art Of Mr.Tang Fu

Mr.Tang Fu,a well-known Sheng player and educator,is an outstanding figure in the second-generation Sheng performance after the first-generation Sheng players Mr.Hu Tianquan and Mr.Yan Haideng.In the early 1970 s his debut with the �Orenchun horses on patrol� made him famous overnight and his large number of compositions besides playing have further established his position in the history of Sheng art development.He composed,adapted and played a large number of Sheng music pieces,such as �the Cottage of the Wind�,�the Spring of the Daur nationality�,�Swan Capriccio� and so on.These pieces are widely used in teaching and playing.At the same time,he has the courage to explore and innovate the art of Sheng.He has innovated and developed a lot of Sheng playing techniques,which provides a lot of development space for Sheng playing.Among his works the�Swan Capriccio� which composed by him alone,is one of his best.�Swan Capriccio� is a traditional Sheng Solo with distinctive features,which is also a representative piece of his later works.Mr.Tang Fu inherited the essence of traditional Sheng playing techniques in his writing progress,and at the same time,he made innovative breakthroughs to make the elements of the music more colorful.Through my own practical study and playing experience,this paper analyzes the technical innovation of music and the contribution of Tang Fu's playing and writing to the art of Sheng.This article is divided into three chapters,with Mr.Tang Fu's artistic experience,works creation and performance and the contribution in the aspect of Sheng Art to elaborate,and in-depth analysis and research.
